Walking around Salisbury, you may have noticed window displays of origami doves in some of the shops. Tomorrow (12 May), a new art installation will open to the public in Salisbury Cathedral. ‘Les Colombes’ by Michael Pendry features 2,500 white origami doves which can be seen ‘flying’ through the cathedral nave. As our city gets back on its feet after the appalling events of two months ago, this installation will be a powerful reminder of the message of peace and hope, and the resilience of our city. Do make sure you visit the Cathedral to see it for yourself. While in the Close, why not also take the opportunity to visit some of the other excellent attractions including Salisbury Museum, Arundells, The Rifles Berkshire and Wiltshire Museum, and Mompesson House.
