I would like to pay tribute to the life of dedicated service of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
She has been the cornerstone of our national life, the reassuring presence through war and peace, through seven decades of change.
Her warmth and radiance brought comfort and joy to all her subjects, no matter who they were or where they came from.
Today, many people in Salisbury, as across the whole nation, will have woken with enormous sadness in their hearts.
As we reflect on what Her Majesty meant to each of us in the days of mourning ahead, I will give thanks to God for such an extraordinary life, one led with such humility, driven by a God given duty to serve our nation in all circumstances.
Queen Elizabeth, we salute all you have so generously and selflessly given to us. We will cherish the memories of your presence in our national life and the unrivalled place you will have in the history of our great nation.
God Save The King.
